What is Social Media?
Social media is a relatively new term and refers to different ways of interacting online such as blogs, video, podcasts, messaging, community sites, and RSS. Social media although still in its infancy has impacted communication significantly in the last year and is continuing to grow a rapid rate.
Are you embracing this change?
Social media is changing communication globally. Traditional media is losing it’s dominance as social media allows ordinary people to spread information quickly across the Internet.
For the generations who have grown up with technology, communicating via social media comes naturally. However, what about the Baby Boomers and older? Can we catch this wave or we will be left behind?
As a Baby Boomer myself, I want to be part of the global conversation that is enabled by social media. I want to facilitate others also to take an active part in the ever growing conversations and social interaction made possible by social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Linked in, and many more.
